I have had an affinity for real estate since childhood talking about houses, pricing trends, and renovation ideas with anyone who would listen.  When I was suppose to be completing reading assignments, thank goodness for Cliff Notes, I would be designing homes and elaborate garages.  My aspiration was always to be a builder/developer; however, timing was off so I decided to study Chemical Engineering & Chemistry at North Carolina State University.  I was recruited after graduating in 2001 by Honeywell which brought me to the Central Virginia area. In 2018 I saw an opportunity to begin studying real estate and acquired my license late that same year. I continued working full-time in engineering and part-time in real estate until October 2020 when I was given an opportunity to finally leave engineering and embark full-time in the career I always wanted, Real Estate.

2002 BOUGHT my first home negotiating a substantial price reduction due to age/condition

2003 completed renovations doing the work myself  

2005 SOLD home for positive cash flow

2006 BOUGHT 2nd home that was deemed illegal use of property owned by an estate  

2008 converted to legal property and acquired standard mortgage 

2009 had a separate land-locked parcel zoned buildable

2010 began designing an 1800 sq. ft addition acting as my own Designer 

2011 started construction acting as my own General Contractor

2012 completed addition and continued remodeling main home 

2015 SOLD home for positive cash flow

2015 BOUGHT my 3rd home 

2019 strategically purchased an adjacent 1 acre parcel

2020 filed for a property line modification to split most acreage from the home

2021 SOLD home and additional acreage separately for positive cash flow 

2022 BOUGHT property using a 1031 exchange to build a short-term rental to create passive income

2022 BOUGHT a 2nd property using IRA funds to build a short-term rental to create retirement income

2022 BOUGHT a 3rd investment property to create positive cash flow upon selling to establish lifeline for future projects

2023 received final approval from Army Corps of Engineers & local municipality to mitigate wetlands and create buildable lots increasing market value

As you can tell I have always worked to incorporate real estate into my daily life and am now blessed to be able to share and build on my experiences to benefit my clients.
